A prototype, also known as a proof of concept, is a small application, which is converted to your desired language or platform according to your requirements and success criteria.
You must consider doing a prototype; the price is deducted (should you decide to go ahead with the main application’s migration) from the final price of conversion documented in your Project Proposal.
Only by performing a prototype do you see the services, tools, experience and quality that we can produce from a conversion.
We charge the following:
| Lines of Code |
Fixed Price |
| 0,001 – 3,000 |
£1,500 GBP |
| 3,001 – 5,000 |
£2,000 GBP |
| 5,001 – 7,500 |
£2,500 GBP |
| 7,501 – 10,000 |
£3,000 GBP |
|
We do not consider any application greater than 10,000 lines of code to be a prototype.
The deliverables for a prototype are the running executable and the source code; both are under the constraints of our Mutual Non Disclosure Agreement.
If you do not have a small application available to use as a prototype, we ask our customers to take a copy of their main application and from that remove about 80% of the functionality. The application must be compilable and must be able to produce an executable.
